MID
MID (publicly known as: Tel Aviv Light Rail) is a light rail and metro system, intended to be the main means of public transportation throughout Gush Dan. Gush Dan is the urban area and the largest concentration of population in Israel, it is also one of the most heterogeneous areas in the country, and as such, it was necessary to separately characterize each of the 23 municipalities through which the train passes, and to understand what the points of connection between them are. In the research process we examined the cultural, identity and socioeconomic differences of the potential train passengers and came to the conclusion that sometimes there is a tendency to produce a certain flattening of the area. We were rather enthusiastic about the opportunity to engrave on our branding flag the value of connection that can be realized in a daily and spontaneous meeting of so many different people. The actual transition of the travelers between the cities in Gush Dan, in our eyes, is also a metaphorical transition, a mixing and merging of different populations, an exit from the official bubble and a transition to a global world. When the train crosses the borders of the cities, it in a way crosses the differences and creates something new.
